Portrait of Eliahi Priest

Craft. Statecraft. Systems.

My work spans the jeweller’s bench, statecraft and systems architecture. Across each, the question is the same: how do we make responsibility hold?

I’m a third-generation jeweller and an Australian founder. I lead Priest Jewellers, The Priest Group and SingularScript. This is the story behind the work.

01 / Craft

It begins
with making.

A setting has to hold. A repair has to last. A piece of jewellery can carry years of someone’s life.

My family’s jewellery business began in 1946. I joined Priest Jewellers in 2012 and took over its leadership in 2021. Bespoke design, sourcing and the everyday life of an independent business remain part of what I do.

02 / Africa & statecraft

Power.
People.
Consequence.

My journey into Africa began with a handshake at the World Peace Congress. Meeting Aloise Makoule Goma opened a path that would become a substantial part of my life and work.

As CEO of The Priest Group, I have worked across South Africa, Botswana, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Kenya. I attended government-level meetings in the DRC in 2024 and Botswana in 2025, following formal invitations through presidential offices, alongside in-person work in Nairobi in 2024.

The work has spanned resource provenance, fair trade, development finance and the relationship between African national priorities and international interests. At its heart is a human question: how does a country’s wealth become lasting value for its people?

These experiences sharpened my understanding of authority, trust and responsibility. They remain a substantial part of my life and work, and helped shape the questions I now bring to systems architecture.

The thread

Some questions
follow you.

Through different countries, different work, and seasons you could never have planned. Only later do you begin to see the thread.

What comes
next.

Today, I lead SingularScript as Founder, Chairman and Chief Technology Officer. We are developing AI governance systems that connect evidence, responsibility and permission to act.

The Law of Return and Trusted Continuance give that work an executable form. They bring a question into software that runs through the rest of my work: what can we stand behind?
